Mārkaṇḍeya Purāṇa

Describes Vindhyā Range and western India. Probably composed in the valleys of Narmada and Tapti rivers, in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Named after sage Mārkaṇḍeya, a student of Brahma. Contains chapters on dharma and on Mahābhārata. Includes the Devi Mahātmyam.
