Guiding Principles

In designing a pedagogical philosophy rooted in Dharma, Dṛṣṭi, and Diśā, we draw from the profound wisdom of ancient IKS, where knowledge is not a mere intellectual pursuit, but a holistic journey that spans various dimensions— intellectual, ethical, spiritual, and practical. This philosophy is deeply aligned with our cultural heritage.

Dharma

Dharma is at the core of our pedagogical philosophy. We believe that participants must be not just introduced to the 'what' of governance but the 'why' in a manner that upholds the principles of interconnectedness, interdependence, creation of surplus, and universal well-being.

Dṛṣṭi

The development of a discerning gaze that is anchored in a dhārmika vision of the self and world. In debates and discussions, participants will learn to analyze issues from multiple viewpoints, encouraging them to develop a broad and inclusive perspective.

Diśā

A sense of purpose and direction is instilled through study, reflective projects, case study applications, and long-term engagements.

1. Orientation to the content, pedagogy and structure of IKS and the role in policy and governance

2. Self-appraisal tools:

Ayurvedic analysis of your svabhava (your inherent nature) and svadharma (policy roles that suit you the most.
Pandava Profile Tool which indicates the five propensities that one is likely to act from in their life contexts.
