Then Maitreyi said: `Here, Sir, thou hast landed me in utter bewilderment. Indeed, I do not understand him.' But he replied: `O Maitreyi, I say nothing that is bewildering. Verily, beloved, that Self is imperishable, and of an indestructible nature.
