Overview

As our cities grow, so do the challenges of waste management and environmental sustainability. This workshop addresses the critical soil crisis affecting our urban landscapes, providing you with essential knowledge and practical skills to make a real difference. Explore current waste management methods, various composting techniques, and the fascinating science behind composting. Participate in live demonstrations, including composting setups and the creation of bio-enzymes from kitchen waste, and learn how to transition from harmful home-cleaners to eco-friendly alternatives.

By joining this workshop, you’ll gain hands-on experience in composting and bio-enzyme production, understanding their profound impact on human health and the environment. This is more than just a learning opportunity – it’s a call to action for all urban dwellers to contribute to a sustainable ecosystem. Engage in interactive activities like a quiz to reinforce your learning, and take on a homework assignment to apply your new skills at home. Together, we can tackle the environmental challenges facing our cities and create a healthier, greener future for our communities. Don’t miss this chance to be part of the solution to our soil and environmental crisis!

This workshop is specially tailored for urban and semi-urban audiences. The teaching is best utilized if the learners can follow the composting process alongwith the instructor, for which a composting catalyst can be purchased (₹ 200, inclusive of all costs). While purchasing is optional, this catalyst will save you the hassle of sourcing and mixing various carbon-based materials yourself. Option to purchase shall be made available post registration.
